Mihai Zgondoiu is an avid observer of cultural, political stereotypes but also of his own identity. Key words such as freedom, crises, communism, capitalism, identity, matrix and the critical use of social media are cornerstones of his conceptual approach. Part critical, thought-provoking and ironic, part self-referential, his mixed-media projects freely blend in different medium, paraphrases various styles, tendencies, interdisciplinary concepts, and figurative art approaches.

The best way to sum up this multi-tasking undertaking is through the phrase “the artist is not an island”, the banner under which poets, writers, philosophers are brought together to shape a new discourse, broadly contextualized through publications and theatre-actions, all bearing the artists concept signature.
