In this group exhibition, the FIVE PLUS ART GALLERY presents paintings and sculptures by artists from the Deva branch of the Union of Romanian Visual Artists (U.A.P). Visual artists from Hunedoara (Deva) can look back on a long artistic tradition. This year they are celebrating seven decades since the establishment of a strong network in the form of an artistic organization joined by young, assertive artists.

Since its foundation in 1955, the professional visual artists from Hunedoara have developed an intense exhibition activity and participated in the most important events of national and international cultural and artistic life.

This exhibition brings together works by all generations of artists, including those who are no longer with us today. The works that bear their signature have made a significant contribution to local and national artistic life. They pay a deep and grateful tribute to these artists. Their names will always be held in honour and memory.

This event underlines the important role that the Deva branch of the U.A.P. in Romania has played throughout the existence of the organization in the affirmation and development of Romanian visual arts in the national and international context.
