This week’s artwork is Man in Space III (bronze, 32 x 32 cm) by Ion Mandrescu. This statue is from his series Man, Time, Space and shows that humankind is not imprisoned within a sphere or circle, but can also escape via the spiral of destiny.  This bronze work is about humans humility before the forces of nature.

We strive for riches and growth at the expanse of our planet, thinking we have the upper hand. We think we can impose our ways on her. Being one of natures creates is miracle enough. And if we stop seeing ourselves as outside of nature and more as a part of it we feel more connected. We are all made of the same elements,  energy, water, air, soil and light.  Most important than anything else is to protect the Earth for future generations. textⒸAD
