“Frankly speaking what is an islet? Would it ever exist, where it not for the idea of embodies? And this idea, does it not speak of the true essence of nature? The true essence of nature is only accessible from within, for nature and the world are two different entities; and what leads them their distinctive character is their very appearance.

Currently I am interested in the true essence of nature: it is this that I wish to emulate in my paintings. Like nature, I do not plan or control but rather allow things to follow their course, letting the unknown, the unexpected to play a part in the process and enable emotions to permeate my work.” Constantin Pacea, Paris, 2012
