In her earlier work, Martina Reinhart dealt with people themselves, as well as their receptions (‘The image of the woman’, ‘The image of the man’, ‘The image of the child’) and the further developments (‘Chimaeras’, ‘Dream beings’ ‘) deals. Then she created two major cycles of knowledge: ‘Knowledge and it’s structures’ and receptions (‘The image of women’, ‘The image of men’, ‘Knowledge cities / sites of knowledge’), where they use the brain as a vehicle of knowledge, as well as structure and Has taken a map before returning to the body with the topic of ‘energy’, in which knowledge, like in nature, is stored about experience.

In her last series, Reinhart then linked these two comprehensive areas – body and knowledge – via a third area – the media – inspired by impressions and encounters in everyday life in reference to Marshall McLuhan, where she repeatedly referred to these tools and Extensions of the human body ‘. In the communication itself and when observing people with their devices. Computers or laptops, smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, e-books – all of these mobile ‘devices’ or technical knowledge bodies and the media themselves are an integral part of our lives. They are – in the truest sense of the word – “extensions / expansions” of the body / individual and his world. And so this exhibition shows a selection from these cycles.
