The exhibition IMAGINATION UNLEASHED is showing works by young artists who are beginning to conquer the national and international exhibition spaces with their unique forms of expression. The connecting element of this exhibition is not stylistic coherence, but the pursuit of one’s own artistic expression. A reflection of our complex and diverse world and how artists can put abstract thoughts into an aesthetic form. Across cultures that bring people together. This exhibition gives the viewers a source of inspiration about the passion for creativity.
Ana-Maria Graur, born in 1998, is a designer and artist from the Republic of Moldova. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iasi, where her artistic research focuses on illustration and the relationship between traditional techniques and contemporary visual language. Her artistic practice combines traditional graphics and painting with digital illustration, emphasizing the expressiveness of line and the use of classical techniques. Her inspiration comes from the dialogue between past and present, from architecture and urban space, and from the expressive potential of traditional materials. This exhibition also includes a selection of works from 2026, traditional illustrations inspired by the architecture of the city of Vienna.
Adelina-Erica Abrudean is a visual artist born 19.. in Romania, who prefers to go by Adee. Graduated the graphic department at the University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca, where she discovered her passion for traditional art, comic book and graphic design. Her series Metamorphoses captures various facets of femininity while aiming to highlight the changes and transformations a woman undergoes throughout her becoming. Each work illustrates Adelina’s perspective as a young woman and an emerging artist. She associates woman with the wasp and praying mantis, because in various cultures both symbolize qualities of woman with which she identifies. Both insects represent transformation and renewal, strength and discipline – qualities of woman in which she deeply believes.
Andrea Katona was born 1976 in Satu Mare, Romania and graduated 2016 in Mechanical Engineering. She then continued her studies with a master’s specialization at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, which she completed in 2025 in the Painting Department. Art was present in her family environment from an early age, so it felt natural for her to regard creation as essential in her life. The themes that engage her are the expression of the emotional world of femininity and her attraction to nature. She works with various techniques, but her favourite is monotype, through which she continues to further develop her artistic practice. Through art, she expresses her past, present, and vision for the future.
Luiza Alicu (*2002) is a master student at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca. In a process of continuous development, open to exploration and change. Her artistic practice reflects this dynamic. She likes to test several directions and media, she finds herself best in figurative art. Luiza is particularly interested in the isolated human figure, captured in intimated spaces, where the place becomes just an extension of the inner state. Aims not to realistically represent the everyday, but rather a form of visual introspection, an attempt to capture the human presence in fragility.
Alexander Revesz (*2003) is a master‘s student at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, where he develops an artistic practice centered mainly on oil painting, with a gestural and expressive aesthetics. His work seeks to preserve the freshness of gesture and spontaneity of form, reflecting a constant interest in the freedom of visual expression. Came in contact with Asian artists and this influence can be found in his works on paper and in his oil paintings, where gesture and accident gain poetic weight.
