LA ISLETA

La Isleta

This week I choose La Isleta (oil on paper/aluminium, 39 x 58 cm) by Constantin Pacea. What inspires the eastern European artist is the veracity of nature. He doesn’t plan but let things take their course.

In Thomas Moore’s Utopia, the island is a complex, self-contained community, in which people share a common culture and a way of life. In our fast paced world, more than ever people want to be self- sufficient. The landscape painting La Isleta stands for freedom of mind and the wish of living a more self-reliant life.  © Alexandra David
