This week I choose First Light in the Morning (Erstes Licht am Morgen), oil on canvas, 120  x 100 cm by Eva Meloun. Her work subtly challenges viewers to look closely and allow themselves to be immersed in the wonders of our planet.

The first light in the morning is called dawn and is the first visible indirect sunlight in the morning sky. The same phenomenon is also known as day shimmer, day gray, early light or simply becoming light. © Alexandra David
