The exhibition THE PLACES YOU WANT TO BE shows paintings by artist Daniel Stastny and is an invitation to reevaluate the interaction between humans, nature, and the built environment. Wilderness is not seen as a threat or backdrop, but as an enduring source.
Daniel Stastny (*1977) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hubert Schmalik’s master class and is a long-standing member of the Mödlingen Art Association. His painting style is characterized by extreme depth of detail and an interplay of painterly and graphic elements. In his infinite, mostly open pictorial spaces, he combines several perspectives at once, which literally draws the viewer into the scene.
